Faded Glory

Step inside the Arcade, look down the long corridor, and be wowed by the light and architectural details.  Then look around at the people strolling along.  If there are any.

The beautiful Victorian relic sits overlooked and underappreciated.  There are shops remaining along the promenade, but it still feels more morgue than it does mall.

With a space so charming and historic, this lack of utilization is saddening.  The redevelopment of East 4thenergized that stretch, mere steps away.  What can bring that same rebirth to this Cleveland gem?

Being a landmark, I don’t see any threat of the Arcade being torn down.  But it could be so much more.
