We love Thanksgiving so much we decided to have it twice this year. Over the weekend, Derek hosted a Friendsgiving dinner. With Thanksgiving Day reserved for family dinners and the pinballing from house to house, Friendsgiving gave us a chance to share the holiday with our friends.
Our celebration mirrored what we will go through tomorrow with the usual fare served and us eating ourselves sick. No worries though, a cutthroat game of Catchphrase worked the food off.
At the root of my love for Cleveland lies this: Friends make the city enjoyable. Groups of friends and neighbors make up the communities which flavor the city and create the experience we have. Some of us don’t have family in the area, but we still have our friends. And without this community, the city does not matter. For this, I am thankful for the brilliant group of people I call friends.
Be safe this weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
